Any down that connects to 35 across is to ignore the box that makes the connection. For example, 1d is 7 long, but it is actually 6. All things are clued as such. 35a is an aesthetic row. *** This is another experimental puzzle, feedback is absolutely welcome. Thanks for trying it!     Pretty wild. I'm surprised I got the 3x3 box for GRIP TAPES. I never skated but I did play the hell out of Tony Hawk Pro Skater on Dreamcast!

      pretty unique puzzle! i got the theme pretty quickly but dont know the skateboarding jargon (nor do i have the crossword expertise) to solve w/o some cheeky reveals. like in some previous puzzles, though, i would like unchecked squares to be pretty explicit to compensate for that. other than that, fantastic!

        Great feedback! Glad it challenge you! Are unchecked squares the ones that are just singles?
        Also, still trying to figure out how you divided you grid without black squares in the puzzle with the Arc theme. That was a very cool feature!

          yeah, unchecked squares are the singles! and thank you! the bar feature that i used on Arcoiris can be found on the "more" tab on the top right of the constructor, where it says "toggle bar"

            the hotkey for adding a bar (only works on PC) is the comma!

          Tough when you know very little about the theme topic, but clever in spots. That’s a lot of two letter words to come up with!

            It was indeed a lot of 2 letter words, lol. I hope the theme wasn’t too limiting…thinking if I try something like this again I’ll definitely tone down the niche intensity of the theme. Just loved the grid art on it :)
