I saw 8-down written and had the thought that it'd make a great seed entry for a mini style xword with a rebus element. I was happy with the end result. I still feel like I'm getting a hold of fill; I'm often left with one or two entries that I'm not a big fan of, but I'm making headway in understanding how to avoid too many.
