  ooh this one was tricky. didn't know 1D or 6D so i was stuck on 8A, but managed to get it by randomly trying letters... it wasn't until then that it clicked lol. very nice puzzle as usual

    Thanks, Carter. I might have got ahead of my skis on this one. I went back and forth between Milk Cap and Juice Cap on 1D, discounting the fact that perhaps not everyone owned as many slammers as I did as a kid. Regardless, thanks a lot for the feedback, it'll certainly help me with constructing future puzzles.
