      Thanks for an entertaining, if frustrating, cryptic. I know that it's all about misdirection but I found some of the definitions to be too obscure. 26A I deciphered the anagram, but was puzzled by the definition "drapes". 1D Too obscure - no hint that it's a language. 15A To my ear "genie" is not a good homophone for "gyny". These are not intended to be criticisms.
