Cryptic 5x5 #0 by tuber

Ok, I'm reviewing my old puzzles and adding blogs to them. This was my first, and, looking back: not bad, but not terribly exciting. Overall, I think the clues are pretty easy. I think 2D's my favourite for managing a coherent surface. Elsewhere, I can see examples of one of my favorite cryptic devices: passing off one part of speech as another, such that a noun in the surface reading needs to be read as a verb in the cryptic reading, say; three of these clues do something like this. Still holds up, I think, but what about you? Give it a go and let me know.
