  Too hard to even try to solve, two passes through yielded not a single letter! I just had to hit the reveal button to see the answers. What an AMAZING puzzle! Fantastic!

    The X-Men do love to make things complicated---the clue is a totally straight-forward synopsis of one particularly significant scene, but also so absurd that it can't possibly be right, can it?! Thanks for solving. :)
