    Disaster! I had to reveal every word.
    I'm not sure that BEGET is a valid homophone for "baguette".
    CAPRI = short pants?

      Ah! I’ve done rhe reveal-all a couple of times today. Yes, literally a style of short pants. Capri pants are designed to end just below the knee or around the mid-calf area.

      Thanks, but unfortunately also a reveal all for me! I think 1D could benefit from a question mark at the end. Is 5A intended to be a homophone of /eye hair/? If so, hair=hear definitely doesn’t work in my accent and I’m quite intrigued as to what accent says them the same way.

        Thanks! Re 5A: it is intended to be a near-homophone. To my mind, a perfect homophone is well and good, but it is quite fun to have a word or phrase that sounds similar and use the context and literally sound things out to arrive at an answer.
