Had to backsolve 1D and 5A (as in, figuring out the word first and then working out how the hint led to it) but I did think the clues were fair, and it was as fun as always. Out of curiosity, how long does it take you to come up with these puzzles?
This one clicked so nicely! One thing I am learning about cryptics is that I subconsciously see an answer before I do so consciously, and to fill in the answer that feels correct even if I don’t know why it does. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! Yeah that definitely happens and helps. Having the option to try to fit in words, especially with a definition, and then reverse engineer the clue is also fun.
