So guess what movie I put on in the background when I was starting to write this puzzle. Some of these play a bit loose with cryptic rules, and your mileage may vary for how much you're ok with that - as always, open to feedback on it! Also, a bonus clue I wasn't able to fit into the grid: Neil breaks into "A Man After Midnight" (6)
