A challenging cryptic with too many slang terms and modernisms for my liking. Spare a thought for the old fogeys, please! 3D3DBotched castration took time and a frying pan (4, 4)[--------] "Frying pan" - isn't that a definition by example? If so, it has no indicator. 2D2DBotcher becomes an obnoxious Google employee (4, 3)[-------] That is a term that I have never heard - is it essentially a US term? 19A19ASolos around quiet mountaintop for breakfast (4, 6)[----------] Very clever clue! 13D13DMove a pot to get in line for sandwich bread (4, 6)[----------] Another term that I am unfamiliar with - I must have had a sheltered upbringing! Following research, I would have said "pita" is the name of the bread and "pita pocket" the name of a sandwich. 21D21DOne pair of fingerprints might do it, on the chance you'll give me permission (2, 1, 3)[------] Horrid clue! Surely one is asking permission? 24D24DLoudly hits a General (4)[----] General Knox is not very well-known in the UK! 23A23AMother of fourteen is almost an obstetrician, I hear (5)[-----] Horrid clue! I can't see how to parse it. 20D20DTakes online class from a rowdy wine bar (7)[-------] Another "modernism" that I have never heard before. Following research I don't see "webinar" as a class. 15A15AKapoor de-centers an iron block (4)[----] I can't parse this, even knowing the answer.

i have 23a23AMother of fourteen is almost an obstetrician, I hear (5)[-----] as "nigh OB" and 15a15AKapoor de-centers an iron block (4)[----] as AN(-v)IL

Thanks for the reply. I think "iron block" is far too general for "anvil". Sadly I don't have OB in my list of abbreviations; it's not in Chambers.
