    I think the use of an abbreviation in the clue indicates that the answer is an abbreviation

        I thought 5A was fine actually (and quite liked the clue, the abbreviation in it helped) - it was 3D that I got stuck on, in comparison.

  Loved this! It's a great feeling when a cryptic comes together. I found the clues to be the perfect level of difficulty - it took a little bit of puzzling, but they all made sense and were entirely solvable.
