Fun one Taylor! I liked JAGUARSHARK
13D JAGUARSHARKElusive beast in "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou"
馃槀馃槀. I had DOPE for DUPE
    10D DUPEFool
    - nice trap clue!

13D JAGUARSHARKElusive beast in "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou"
      in a puzzle for weeks!

How did you feel about the cluing on this one? Too easy?
        • Mike D 6:04聽路聽13 days ago
No I thought it was great!

One suggestion I have is to rework NLUA
        17A NLUAAnagram for luna
out of the grid. It's a tough corner to fill, but solvers are not receptive to nonsense words... I remember when I first started making puzzles I would invent words all the time when I got stuck... SKUA/ALKIE might work for that corner...

          Glad you enjoyed it!
I actually thought about SKUA/ALKIE, but ALKIE really put me off.. I just didn鈥檛 want something that felt derogatory in my grid. Hmmmm.. maybe I鈥檒l revisit that corner another day, I鈥檓 just afraid I鈥檒l end up having to rework half the grid lol
          Thanks!

That's a good point! I've used alkie (or one of its spelling variants) in a puzzle before and haven't given much thought that it may be offensive to some... I think I need to be more mindful in the future. Thanks!
