      Very entertaining, but I had difficulty with: 24A I would have expected it to be hyphenated. I am puzzled by the definitions in 9A and 20D. Could you parse 29A, please?

        9A is referencing a certain cartoon rabbit's culinary choices and 20D is perhaps a more anglicised term, but the last two words are the literal part. Would gladly parse 29A if it existed! Did you mean something else?

        Thanks for the explanations. I think I had difficulty with gubbins as I have always used it in the sense of "gadget".
