Constructor's Note: THE TILDES REPRESENT STRIKETHROUGH, which I believe is impossible on Crosshare. i.e. when, you see ~example~, you should imagine that the word "example" is crossed out. This puzzle is very themed.
I just got Crosshare, and it seems like people actually find the puzzles through Crosshare, so I'm planning to gradually upload my whole crossword backlog here, reverse chronologically! This originally appeared in Issue #64 of Puzzles for Progress (http://tinyurl.com/puzzlesforprogress) on October 15, 2021.
I make puzzles (of all different kinds, not just crosswords!) at http://tinyurl.com/puzzlesforprogress. Go check them out!

This puzzle was great! FYI supporting better formatting in clues is on the todo list, here
Looking forward to seeing more of yours here! I think uploading gradually is smart
