    thanks... tough stuff, requires a brain... which reminds me i need to get one of those... for 9a i also had r-em-emb-er-an-ce, i dunno if that works or not... but really i was done in by 3a, as i was stuck in a RUT

      Thanks for solving! You’re completely right for 9A’s grid entry, apologies — I’ve just added that as an alternate solution. I think in future I’ll stick with simpler clues for cases like 3A where there’s effectively only one crosser. Thanks!
